Traveler's Notebooks
The first run has come and gone, but I'm not quite ready to make more.
My Handmade Traveler Notebooks were a brand-new addition to the F|P shop, and the first run was a bit of an experiment: I wanted to see how the notebooks worked for you, how they held up, and what it would take to make them as a small, one-person shop.
That first run is currently sold out, and the notebooks are not available for purchase right now.
I'm taking some time before deciding how, and when, to make the next batch.
What's happening with the next run?
I'm currently exploring better solutions for producing these notebooks.
Because they're handmade, there's a lot of hands-on work involved in each one. After completing the first run, I realized there are some things I'd like to rethink before I commit to making another batch.
I'm looking at different production options to see if I can create a notebook that meets the quality standards I want for Function of Planning while also being practical for a small business to produce.
That might mean the next version looks a little different from the first.
I don't have a return date yet, but I'm working on it.
Rather than rush into another production run simply to get the product back in the shop, I'd rather take the time to figure out a better way to make it.
A little note about the first run
If you purchased one of the original Handmade Traveler Notebooks, you have a first-run edition.
The first run helped me learn a lot about the product, the materials, the construction process, and what I want these notebooks to be going forward.
If there are changes to a future version, I'll share those details when the time comes.
Will they come back?
That's the plan, but I don't have a date to share yet.
I'm not going to put a speculative restock date on the website just to have one. When I have a production solution I'm happy with, and a realistic timeline, I'll let you know.
